One of the things I hate most about s8-s10 of Supernatural is how it made me lose interest in Sam as the main character in a story. He used to be my second fave on the show, but now I'm only interested in him as a part of Dean's story.

And of course that's at the moment when fandom seems to move over to making Sam the emotional centre for some reason I don't quite get. I always seem to be out of step with fandom like that, but I just can't bring myself to care about Sam's pain. Not after the way he acted on the show.

And worse than that, those feelings have moved on to fictional Jared as well.

I've been re-watching Supernatural. And I loved Sam and understood his side and his opinions. And I guess somewhere... in between there, it went down hill. Sam became this dislikeable character or not a favorite to anyone anymore. I'd like to think it's just the change of writers and etc. And change of head writer or whatever when Kripke was no longer really the head writer or creator or the one in charge. Whatever you want to call it.
