Art: In the Flesh/Supernatural

k, I suck at sticking to deadlines, so the spn/in the fesh fusion/crossover I’ve been writing won’t be finished on time to be a part of the spn_cross big bang. Doesn’t mean I’m going to stop writing it.

Since I had such a hard time getting the Winchesters in Britain, I figured, why not write the bunny that kept invading my mind.

AKA what if Dean killed himself after Sam left for Stanford, and then came back during the Rising.

And now Dean’s coming home and John has to go pick him up, and is totally unsure what to tell Sam, or even if he should tell Sam, or keep quiet and kill Dean because Dean isn’t human anymore/is a monster now/….

And Sam is blaming himself, even though he really shouldn’t. (there was some monster involved in the suicide, but the Winchesters don’t know that yet.

And Dean loves his Dad and hates what he is. And really misses his little brother and…


uhm anyway, this is a pic of what Dean would look like as a PDS sufferer, so uhm, hoping someone at least will like it.






((Anyone got any tips on how to make it so Dean fits better in the background? I'm not entirely used yet to my new Photoshop))

Oh WOW, I loved In The Flesh...great television and I'm excited to see how you have integrated the spn family into that world. Your blurb sounds fascinating enough!

Dean looks super.
I haven't learnt photoshop (on my to do list:) but I think that Dean's black (dark) shirt makes him jump/stand out against the light fencing and therefore gives the disjointed feel you see. Maybe darken the fence or lighten Dean's shirt:/. I'm sorry I can't help with that:(.

"Fix the shadows" was my main thing when you asked advice. Looks like the sun is in his face on the left side, which means that patch of light on the fence by his right ear/shoulder should go bye bye, and his hair could go a little more gold/lighter brownish on the left side as well.

*curses bad keyboard and retypes final remark* And now I need to go find somewhere online with In the Flesh so I can read the fic with some idea of *points to icon* is going on.

*throws an instant plot bunny at you that rose from just your description* Replace Croatoan with PDS? *sends carrots and another keyboard*

Hmm, the problem with replacing PDS with croatoan, is that people who suffer from the Croatoan virus really aren't dead.

In In the Flesh, which is one of the most awesome mini series ever, the dead literally crawl their way out of their graves, several months after their deaths. After a short apocalypse, the government manages to get control over the situation, some doctors find a way to make the zombies docile, the government captures them all, and a few months later they realize that with continued treatment with the drug, the dead's brain starts working again, returning them to their original personality.

So if you replace Croatoan with PDS, you'd just have people turned violent canibals, instead of dealing with them coming back from the dead hungry for brains.
(the series main character Kieren has to deal with facing his parents and little sister after committing suicide because his (boy)friend died in Afghanistan. Anyway, both Kieren and Rick died and came back during the Rising, and have to deal with the issues their deaths left behind.
