1. Why are the republicans such sore losers. Not any of the ones on my friendlist thank God. But a lot of the tea party base and worse than that...the ones actually in charge of the party. Don't they realize they're embarrassing themselves?

2. Why is it so hard to find pure Supernatural/Doctor Who crossovers, and why do so many on ff.net seem to see a need to bring Sherlock into their stories as well. I don't care for Sherlock, don't like the show. But what I like even less is when people unnecesicerily complicate a crossover by bringing in way too many shows.

Not saying a threeway crossover can't work, but most of the times, the third or fourth or who knows how manieth show brought in, is just there to increase the numbers of readers and amounts to litte more than cameos.

3. Why is it so impossible to find a Criminal Minds/Dexter crossover?

It's funny, because as much as I like Superwholock in gif-form on tumblr. I too don't like it in written crossovers - but, I don't like it because I don't want Doctor Who mixed in with my Supernatural/Sherlock crossovers. It's not that I don't like Doctor Who, I just agree that crossovers between more than two fandoms have far too many characters for the writer to handle and still be able to write well. And I say this having written three-fandom crossovers myself! :P

oh, i so get it. not for these fandoms in specific, mostly because i'm not in them, but for crossovers in general, it seems that people have a hard time dealing with what crossovers mean and, like you said, insist on putting more characters from other shows just to make a few cameos, but to be able to say: "see? if you're into this show, you should also read my fic."

With regards to #3, the problem is that the whole Dexter thing relies on him not getting caught, which, given how careless he is, relies on an incompetent police force. This is the big problem with my Dexter / NCIS / Burn Notice multiple crossover (which admittedly has CSI: Miami involvement mainly so that I can sneer at Horatio Caine's sunglasses shtick); they are rapidly closing in on Dexter and no matter how it comes out, some readers will be disappointed. Which is one reason why I'm finding it quite hard to write the last chapter...

Edit - forgot to say that the reason for bringing in Burn Notice was to throw in some extra complication - one of the big problems for the NCIS guys is that Michael Westen and friends have illegally searched Dexter's appartment, which means that the most damning evidence against him probably isn't going to be admissable.

If you really want an answer to question number 1 and it wasn't a rhetorical question go ahead and PM me. I generally don't mix fandom with politics but I'll answer any questions you have.
