Scary thing happened on facebook last week.

My direct boss, aka inspection, friended me.

Since I don't really block anything, doing so now would well... seem like I have something to hide. And not friending her back would give the same idea...

Well, it's not like I ever post anything sensitive on facebook to begin with...My mom's on there, just saying.

I have a policy with myself that I won't friend ppl i work with. I've had ppl at work ask if they could add me, or they've just sent me requests. I've declined them and then I politely tell them that I keep my facebook private. I like to keep my personal life and my work life seperate. Most of them understand and respect it.

Yeah, I think it's kind of inappropriate for her to "friend" you. As your boss, she needs to hold up a standard of professionalism and since she's not, you can explain that you like to keep your work life and your private life separate.

If you don't feel you can do that, you can control who sees what. You don't have to block her entirely from different areas of your FB, just when you post something you can arrange the settings on each individual post as to who sees what. She'd never know.

Wow, that really seems like a breach of etiquette. Very thoughtless of her at the very least.
