Good news, dad is still alive and somewhat stable, which is awesome. Even though he's still in an artificial coma, which isn't so great.

Another not so awesome bit, is that apparently earlier today he had a small fever, and the nursing staff wasn't sure where he got it from.

Either way I wanted to thank everyone who responded before, sorry for not doing individual responses, but I kinda never know what to say in situations like these.

Bit annoyed that the hospital he's at, which is known for caring for heart patients, is kinda hard to reach, which means it'll take me over an hour and a half to get there by bus, and an hour and a quarter if I include trains. And then I haven't even counted in the time needed to get to the station. *pouts*

It's indeed annoying that the hospital is so far away when all you want to do is be with your dad!

Wow. My heart goes out to you with all this going on. (I lost a parent some years ago to a major illness. It's tough. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.)

I'm glad you have some good news. My father had to have heart surgery a couple years ago, and it's a scary experience. Stay strong and positive.
