I have a serious problem.

I realized earlier that what I lack most, is an icon of Sam Winchester.

My big problem, well, please nobody throw stones at me, but I don't find Jared's face all that attractive. I love the character, I love his acting, but whenever I look through icons prominently displaying Sam's face, I just don't like them, no matter how well made they are, because I'm just not attracted to him.

Does anyone have a good Sam icon, that shows him in a neutral or happy mood that doesn't rely on how people are supposed to be attracted to him?

I just really need a Sam icon to use to reply to posts that are mostly about Sam, or when I have a Sam-centric thought.

Believe it or not, I have the same problem. Although I find Jared amazingly attractive in person, I don't think it comes across in pictures at all and I don't really find pictures of him attractive. Seeing him in person was a horrible tease really.

Anyway, most of my Sam icons aren't about finding him attractive. My favorite is actually the one I have of just his bloody-cheek. So, you can look through the ones I have and see if anything strikes your fancy.

It's funny, when I watch the show, I'm usually pleasantly surprised, because he looks better in movement. But whenever I see a still picture of him, I just can't see the attraction.

And thanks, will go look now. Maybe I need to find a way to see Jared in real life to truly appreciate his looks.

Must admit, this isn't the first time this has happened to me. I love the character of Angel from BTVS and Angel, but I find David Boreanaz, the actor playing him utterly unattractive. (yet this has somehow never stopped me from shipping him with Spike ;-) )

I also find David Boreanaz unattractive! We have so much in common :P

But yeah, Jared looks best in movement and 3D.

Thanks so much. I just like responding to posts with a suitable icon when possible, and it's sometimes silly to use a Dean icon, when I'm actually responding on something about Sam.

We definitely share a lot of things in common :-)

This is my one and only Sam icon, gotten when I had a fic to post for the summersamlove comm. I like it, and I wish I had more, but my limit is 15 and I've got a few just Dean, most of mine are both boys. I have a bunch saved in my downloads that I can switch out, but no really good Sam ones.

hmm, he looks much better when younger. I think it's the jaw that's causing me trouble. I just don't find a broad jaw all that attractive in a man.

I think Jared is attractive as a whole package. His manly large-ness is hot to me. His face is not unattractive, just not hypnotically beautiful the way I find Jensen to be.

I also never found David Boreanaz attractive.

I have a couple of Sam icons but none that I would say are super hot (except the one of his torso!).

I'll admit to finding his torso superhot :-) And I like the idea of Sammy, the bigness, just when I see his face...

Hee I love Sammy, but yeah I'm never found Jared all that conventionally attractive. His face looks a little smushed maybe? And then sometimes he makes the oddest expressions, in the season 5 finale when he's taking on Michael for instance

He does look pretty handsome when he's smiling though...

That's what makes it worst, I love Sammy, and I want to find him attractive, but when I look at his face in stills or promo pictures...

It's nice proof though for me, that my liking of a char has little to do with their looks. Hell I love Dexter, but I still think Micheal C Hall is almost ugly.
