Created a new com for The Gates

Since no one responded and I'm way too impatient. I just created an actual com for the series. (sure, now that I've done the effort, someone'll probably come up with one that already exists, but hey, something is better than nothing, right?) You can join the com at behindthegates So anyone feel like joining and or helping me out as a co-mod?

I love this show and I've been talking about it since the beginning, my current entry speaks on it, better then VD for sure, I find it a lil better then True Blood also.

I love that show and it's so nice to see them explore mythologies beyond just the vampires and werewolves. (even if those are pretty cool)And not just as the bad guys.

It's fascinating that Dylan comes off as the patronising and controlling sob for most of his dealings with Claire, while really, he's just trying to keep her from killing people. So I dislike his character, while at the same time realizing he's not a bad guy. It's a weird feeling.

Just wish I knew where to advertise the com so we'd get more people joining up. I was just surprised that four eps in, I still couldn't find anywhere to talk about the show.

I got hooked cause it actually has adults and not just teen drama, and yes it goes beyond the norm mythology, I like Dylan, kinda weird he just outted himself by chewing on homegirl in front of that cop although he saved his life, but damn.

I was hoping there was somewhere to talk about the show, here is a link to where you can promote the comm, also you can ask other comm's if its ok to post in there. Next time I update my LJ I will pimp it for you in my post.

Oh I definitely find Dylan interesting. Like I said, he means well. He wants to protect his family, he wants them to fit in. And he's just trying to keep his wife from killing people.

I also love that they do try and deal with the werewolf pack from different perspectives. That it's not just the kids, but that they deal with the adults from the pack as well.
