Dexter fic request

Is it bad manners to ask for a Christmas/New Year present?

If not, I was wondering if anyone knew of any fics, or could write me one, where Dexter did surrender in s2, or other fics of the kind where Dexter is revealed to be a serial killer and how this affects Deb, Rita and the kids.

Not just a fic where Deb or Rita finds out and then decides not to tell anyone, those are ok, but honestly, esp. with Deb, they feel a bit unrealistic.

I mean a fic where Dexter is actually arrested and probably ends up in a mental institute or prison. Possibly with Deb or Rita still trying to help him, only without breaking their own moral code. (which they would if they let him keep on killing people)

PS: and if those fics happen to be crossovers with some kind of investigative cop shows, Criminal Minds, CSI, whatever, that'd be even more awesome

I'm actually going to be picking up Dexter as soon as I finish with Criminal Minds. (At the beginning of season four. Started last week. I can't turn it off) so, you may actually get your wish. Just, ya know, late.

I know the feeling, I first watched all of spn till season 4 in three weeks, then all of Criminal Minds in about little less than a month
and now I've watched all of Dexter in the last two weeks.

It can be fun to find a new show and have lots and lots of eps to watch one after the other :-)

It's kinda funny, though. I rarely make it past 2 seasons into a show. In all honesty, I'm shocked I'm still hooked on Criminal Minds without burning out. NCIs/Stargate SG1&Atlantis/Numb3rs/Lost... all these shows I stopped in the 2nd season.

Is Dexter good?

Dexter is extremely good. Gory, but in a way that it makes it clear that what Dexter is doing is wrong. Even while we root for him.

Though personally, s2 is my favorite season.

Anyway, the ensemble cast is nigh perfect, there isn't a single char on the show that isn't near perfect, and even the ones that are annoying, are so in a way that's intended and that makes sense.

Sweet. Soon as CM season 4 finishes downloading, I'll start DLing Dexter season 1.

Possibly random, but I feel like I should tell you that you're the one who accidentally got me into Criminal Minds. I had thought about picking it up for a while, then finally said "eff this" and downloaded it. And haven't quite stopped...

I hope someone writes that Dexter fic, especially if it does cross over with Criminal Minds! I tried to find one at criminal minds ficfinder, but none were found.

I honestly don't get why no one's written that specific crossover yet. It feels like a natural to me.
