RIP Madelyn Dunham, grandmother to senator Obama

HONOLULU - A day before the presidential election, Barack Obama announced the death Monday of his grandmother, who helped raise him and whom he praised as the cornerstone of his family.

Madelyn Payne Dunham died peacefully Sunday night after a battle with cancer, Obama said. She was 86.

God yes, I'm just glad for him that he took the time to go visit her one last time, I can't imagine what it would have done to him if he hadn't

I feel so sorry for him and his family. It must be a bittersweet time for him.
