Halloween

I had a total amount of two trick or treaters come by today.

Which was two more than I expected. What can I say, we usually have the kids singing at the door for treats on old years eve.

So I had to get something to give them. Luckily I still had a few of my two points bars and 1€ in small cash.

For those who don't know, a two points bar is a weight watchers chocolate bar. But I gave them two of my fave caramel flavored two points bars. Tastes like mars bars and much much healthier.

The parents should be happy about that one. Right?

Only about two houses on my street give out candy (and I'm not one) but the Church behind my house had "Trunk or Treat", which is parishoners filling their auto trunks with candy and children can go from car to car and pick out their favorites.

That seems to be the latest trend around the U.S. btw.

I saw a sign for one of those at a church while driving home and wondered what it was. Weird. I had about 16 kids in a large, large single family home neighborhood. I miss the old days when there were a hundred kids trotting around from house to house. *sigh*

That seems a bit weird. I guess it's probably simpler and safer.

I had zero trick or treaters. I got one just in case bag of dum dum suckers because Murphy's law dictates that if you don get at least one bag you'll be swarmed by trick or treaters who are willing to damage your car if your don't pay up.

It's weird, back when I was a kid, we'd all go out on old years even morning, but the last few years the numbers seems to get smaller and smaller. Halloween trick or treaters are rare here, because it's something new, something that only started in response to the US mentions of it in movies and tv series.
