I'm very much a Christian myself, I just believe that the christian Taliban in the US distorts everything that Christianity is and should be about. It's like they don't even seem to realize that Jesus was very much a liberal*eg*

Just so you know, when I use that phrase I don't mean regular Christians. I do mean Christian fanatics who try and force creationism into schools and try to shred the separation between church and state.

You know, the kind of people that attack abortion clinics, people like the Wesboro church or however you spell that. People like Fred Phelps. The ones who use any opportunity to spread hate in the name of God.

You know, the kind of people who give all real Christians a bad name and drive good people away from Christianity.

I got the same result... and I am truly sad that for some reason Christian =/= liberal anymore. It IS possible to be truly both. Our country has gone crazy. I can't talk politics with anyone at work or church anymore...
