Beta needed

As you might remember I've just started a Hamilton/Spike slave fic. Now <lj user="gillo"> has been kind enough to help me with the beta work, but I could really use a second beta just for my own sake.  Anyone willing to take the job?

The fic will be rather dark, and includes slavery, non-con and people being treated like animals. 

I prefer to have a beta that I can talk about the fic with on aim. And who doesn't mind me rambling about ideas. If you want this fic to sort of include Spike/Xander, now's the chance to speak up, because I'm seriously considering this as a possibliity. Just not quite sure yet if it would fit with the ideas I've had.

Sorry for not responding sooner, was going through the beta work, adding some more bits from another beta and stuff before sending it back to you.

I really appreciate the help, esp. considering how bad my grammar is. I have to say that I did try to work a bit on my Spike voice, trying to make him more Spike and less generic sounding. Hoping I didn't fail too much at that*g*

I'm happy to hear it, *giggles* when you read the email I just sent you'll understand my giggle about your other beta! It's an awesome story, and I'm proud to be contributing a little to it.

I'm not on any IM's, haven't had a reason to, but I think my daughter is on aim, I could ask her to clue me in on getting it for me. I'd love to help with ideas, but beware, my muse is one seriously twisted indiviual! Would you mind if I friended you? I ask before friending, it just seems polite, and I'll be happy to friend back.

Hated to see about your grandmother, must be tough. I still have mine, but I lost my dad about 6 yrs ago, and even though we weren't close it was aweful.

I'm here for another hour or so, if you can reply (and the yahoo monster doesn't eat it)

I'd love to be able to talk on aim. Just tend to find it easier*g*
(though I think that www.aim.com has a version you can use, where you don't have to download aim itself. I've heard it's safer.

I definitely don't mind if you friend me (personally I keep forgetting about that asking part, bad me)

I just like using more than one beta, always helps to get more than one pov on things. (though I hope you don't mind that I don't use every suggestion)

Either way, I'd love to have someone to talk to about the fic. Just need to know when I'm not exaggerating with something, since I tend to go on about stuff*g*

For some reason the little 'add the person as a friend' isn't on top of your page, so I'll try again tonite at work, so by tomorrow you'll have yourself a brand spanking new friend (told you, kinky ;)

It makes a lot of sense to use more than one beta, luv, so you can see what's really working and what you need to tweek it. And use any or none of my suggestions, that's *your* baby and you get to raise it any way you want. I kinda think of my beta'ing as being the aunt that changes the dirty diaper so the baby's all nice and neat for company. *g*

I know what you mean about the exag'tion, I usually just write on and on, then come back and try to pick out the ideas I want to get across and polish'em up!

Well, I hate to leave, but I gotta sleep so I can work tonite, I worked on my story this morning and yours this evening and I'm worn out now.
