If I were to say... come to London, would anyone be interested in being my tourguide*g*, or at least meeting up with me?

So far, the only plan I've got is... 'Go to London and visit Forbidden Planet' but I'm open to suggestions of other things to do, besides hanging out in a comic store for say three, four hours*eg*

Big yay and well haven't set a date yet*g*

I have two weeks off from monday on, so it's anywhere from this saturday, to two weeks from now. (am assuming that if I wait a week, I'll at least have it easier to find someone to feed my cat for one day*g*)

Right now, it's just this crazy idea I have of doing something during my vacation and London seems like a fun idea.

At least 215€ (trainfare+hotel+breakfast) though lots of money, is within my budget, even if I add another 200€ for expenses while in London.

(unless of course some kind person can suggest me something cheaper (preferably without roommates of the creepy crawly kind))

I dunno which part of the cost is the fare, but you can get student rooms in London very cheaply before they return. Here, for example is the hall my daughter's going to be living in next year, ten minutes' walk from Oxford Street. The page implies £20 per night - no breakfast, but kitchen available to sort out your own. Might be worth looking into.

I'm back at work from the 6th, so sometime next week would be good for me - Wednesday or Thursday perhaps? You could YM me (gillothen) to discuss it further if you like.

Well I just checked at the station and apparantly it's about 115€ for the fare alone. Now that one you mention might be a lot more interesting, but is it allowed for foreigners to take advantage of it? Esp. if it's only for one night?

Apparantly the best time is to go on thursday and come back on friday. Hope to see you on yim.

I love Forbidden Planet. I remember when it was this tiny little hole in the wall on Denmark Street (before it moved to Oxford Street).

I've heard a lot about it and I just want to see it for once. (and probably waste a lot of money there*g*)
I wonder if it's bigger or the same size as my regular comic shop in Antwerps.
