Just watched Serenity and I can say only one thing

This is what Joss gave up on trying to save the Buffyverse for?

This is the movie he focussed his attention on, instead of fighting to get us a Spike series or movie?

It was...

I can't even say it was bad, it wasn't.

It was worse, it was average, forgettable.

Not bad acting, but nothing to remember either.

Guess one more proof of the old theory, the moment Joss takes something or someone as his favorite, they're as good as ruined. Hell, just look at Willow, or Wes/Fred.

hmmmm, very interesting. I agree, I would much rather be a Spike fan than a Willow or Fred fan. (Especially Willow) They didnt do her any favors.

I loved Firefly and Serenity, though as my husband says, I love those SF westerns. I'm currently working my way through my Wild, Wild West season one DVDs, and anxiously waiting for Brisco County Jr.

I tried to love Serenity while I was watching it, more because it seemed everyone on my flist loved it and it was from Joss so, yeah. And I did like it even though I thought Book was given short shrift and I was upset when he was killed. I did like like it...right up until Wash was skewered. From that point on I hated the movie and I hated Joss Whedon.
