Firefly

Just watched the last half of the first ep of Firefly.
Haven't really been interested in the show, but I'll watch five eps to give it a chance to pull me in.
Hasn't managed to do so so far.

Don't know, nine characters and so far, not a single one of them has pulled me in. Generally not a good sign.

The first ep had that effect on me too - indeed, my husband has never bothered to watch the rest. I did go back, though, and have been really glad I did. "Shindig" really sold me the 'verse, and "Out of Gas" confirmed my love. Try to give them a chance at least.

I felt very similar about the first episode, it doesn't give you much to care about the characters. Like you said, give it a couple episodes, and I'm sure you'll be loving it :D

The first ep of Firefly I ever watched, my reaction was pretty much, "meh."

Now I'd have to say it's my favorite TV show ever. I don't have crushes on any of the characters, but they're just so very REAL that I love them all.

The first episode is tough, because there is so much info that has to be included. Keep going, there is a rich world full of wonderful characters in Firefly.

My intro to the show was Jaynestown. The next week they showed Out of Gas. I bought the DVD set the following day. Literally. OoG is my favourite episode, but Shindig and Our Mrs. Reynolds aren't far behind.
