I just created a new community, the_real_xander for those wondering. But every time I try to change it, to make it look better, I somehow seem to mess up my own journal instead of do anything on the community journal. Anyone know how I can fix this lj? I paid for the community, so I should be able to fix it up right.

And oh yes, anyone with a good Xander icon for the community is welcome to give me one or more.

Need to pretty it up before I can promote it.

I tried that actually, it doesn't work. Keeps switching back to liliaeth, even when I changed the name on the link bit it still only changes liliaeth. Plus there's no advanced customisation on the community part.

I'm sure that people will like it, but I have to tell you that I leaned (through my "work" as a mod on everything_lj and overridehelp) that at least 30-40% of the american LJ user are still using a 800x600 resolution, so the layout will not work for them. Maybe you should make a poll or something to get the screenresolution of your "friends" and if you have many readers with 800x600 you could downsize the layout

good point. I just tend to go for bigger lay outs because I have a 1024x768 screen myself. You're right though, might have to do a poll about that to have people decide what they prefer. I did change the size for now. I can always change it back later.

Me too with the bigger layouts (I'm at 1400x1050)..but as I said, at least 30-40% (if not more) seem to use 800x600
