Fanmixes are *always* great, and it'll be nice to have something other than fic! :)
Here's some thoughts:
'Twilight' by Vanessa Carlton. I was stained with a role in a day not my own And as you walked into my life you showed what needed to be shown And i always knew what was right I just didn't know that i might Peel away and choose to see from such a different sight 'twilight' as the meeting point between Buffy and Spike is just the most wonderful metaphor, and this song beautifully illustrates how he changes during S5 because of her.
'The Moth' by Aimee Mann The moth don't care when he sees the flame he might get burned but he's in the game All those fire metaphors in S6, and how damaging it can be.
'Honesty' by Billy Joel (Sleeper/Never Leave Me) I don't want some pretty face to tell me pretty lies. All I want is someone to believe. This is the most perfect song for those two eps - *ever*. Just listen and be amazed.
'Sometimes you can't make it on your own' by U2 (Touched) Listen to me now I need to let you know You don't have to go it alone Spike's speech. *sniffle*
'Run' by Snow Patrol (S7) You've been the only thing that's right In all I've done This one just sums up a lot of the tragedy of S/B - and although I've put it as S7, maybe it's more of a 'Chosen' song - those last few nights.
'Brighter than Sunshine' by Aqualung ('Chosen') I'm yours and suddenly you're mine Suddenly you're mine And it's brighter than sunshine Flaming hands. "I love you."/"No you don't." This song makes me cry. (And of course he believed her!)
'Jesus to a Child' by George Michael (Buffy, post-Chosen) With your last breath You saved my soul Buffy reflecting post-Chosen. Sad at what they could have had, but determined to live for both of them.
'I'll Remember' by Madonna (Buffy, post-Chosen) Inside I was a child That could not mend a broken wing Outside I looked for a way To teach my heart to sing Another reflection song - this time more what Spike taught her and how he changed her.
