Fanfic meme: 14 &15 Ratings and Warnings

14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
Since my fics are pretty dark, my ratings can be pretty high. Admittedly, I've written fics, expecting them to be at least R, and ending up with a PG13 instead, but that usually has more to do with the lack of sex in said fics. For me, a rating depends on the story, if the story takes me to dark places, then I'll follow it, even if that means a heavy NC17 rating. But if it would feel like the sex would be crammed in for the sake of it, then I'll just as easily drop the sex, or even the romance in general, if it doesn't add anything to the story.
15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
Most important, I'd say, are things like underage, non-con, torture, gore, pedophilia, bestiality, you know the usual things that might squick the hell out of people.
I wouldn't say it's strange, but I have warned for cannibalism, and though I've not used the warnings, I do at time feel like I should warn readers of my Teen Wolf fics, that though I try anything to avoid charbashing, that I'm not, nor will I ever be Stiles-positive. And that no matter how many reviews they leave behind about it, that I won't make any fic any more Stiles-centric than I absolutely have to.
I have been using a scott-centric tag on some of my TW fics, but that's not a warning, that's just a way to tell fellow Scott fans that my fic is something they might like.
