Jun. 9th, 2010 09:03 amI took part in that TV tropes meme thing, so if anyone has anything to say about me*g*
Day 1: A show that never should've been canceled.
Day 02 - A show that you wish more people were watching
Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this TV season)
Day 04 - Your favorite show ever
Day 05 - A show you hate
Day 06 - Favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Day 07 - Least favorite episode of your favorite TV show
Day 08 - A show everyone should watch
Day 09 - Best scene ever
Day 10 - A show you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving
Day 11 - A show that disappointed you
Hard to say. One show I thought I would love was True Blood. Can't say it exactly disappointed me, but... I'm trying to get into it, but I just can't seem to get past the accents.
Reaper, which I really wanted to like, but which makes me cringe a time or two too often.
But as for disappointing, I'd have to go with Buffy. After s5 I was really excited to see s6 and especially at the start of it, I was really excited and loved it. Only then the scoobies cast Spike out again and Buffy became less and less likable. I know, artistic vision, but to see Buffy use and hurt Spike like that really hurt... And then the way they took the interesting storyline of Willow slowly sliding into evil and turned it into magic=drugs crap... that was plain out bad.
I also wished they'd made better use of Xander, and the failure of his wedding to Anya that was just... fail.
Now don't get me wrong, I do like big parts of the season and the spuffy scenes are some of the strongest in the series, but after the somewhat hopeful build up of s5, the slow and casual destruction of anything that made the scoobies likable in s6 was really disappointing.
Day 12 - An episode you've watched more than 5 times
I could say 'Beneath you' since I have watched that final scene dozens of times, but that wouldn't include the full ep.
So I'm going with an ep that I keep rewatching in full.
Jus in Bello. Probably my all time favorite Supernatural ep. From the moment that the boys get arrested, to the entry of the first of the demons, to Henrickson getting possessed and finally realizing that the boys really do fight monsters, to Nancy choosing to allow herself to be sacrificed so her friends may be saved, to Dean and Victor utterly and absolutely refusing even the idea of it... to the look of Sam waffling and possibly even considering the idea...Not because Sam is bad, but because Ruby's offer is the pragmatic solution and this ep shows perfectly fine why Dean's the righteous man. Not to mention the implications coming from that later on...
And the ending where the boys find out that everyone died anyway and the shock on Dean and Sam's faces... While knowing from later on that if Dean were put in the exact same situation, he'd make the exact same choice. It might be just me, but I love heroes.
This ep holds a perfect combo of heroism with heroes innocently in prison scenes, which is probably the reason that Folsom Prison Blues holds a close second on the favorite spn eps list. (The Usual Suspects would be higher, if the actress playing the cop were better at her job, God, I love the character, but I simply can't stand her voice)
