Jan. 5th, 2009 11:18 pmCan I just mention how much I hate, no strike that, despise snow.
I don't even like the idea of a white christmas, unless I'm absolutely sure the snow's gone before I have to get back to work.*g*
Maybe it's because I don't have a driver's license for a car and a moped is probably the worst kind of vehicle imaginable to use in a snowy area. Mostly cause there's a risk of slipping at the least amount of snow build up.
So tomorrow I'm leaving an hour earlier, so I can catch a bus and leave an hour and a half early in the hope of getting to work on time. (this with my work being normally about a twenty minutes drive away from here)
Even more annoying, I have to use a Belbus, which is a special kind of bus that you have to order specifically, mostly in cases like tomorrow where though there is a busstop, the bus in question normally only stops at very specific hours. (in this case, around six in the morning, two in the afternoon and ten in the evening. (for those wondering, that's the times when the shifts start and end at the factory I clean at)
And all because of snow and freezing and really really really annoying weather.
Ergo, I hate snow.
Almost slipping ten times in one drive and being half an hour late despite leaving twenty minutes early, can do that to a girl. Especially when you start thinking you could have been faster at work, just by walking there.
