Spidey and hot beverages
Dec. 11th, 2007 08:34 pmI had this thought earlier and I couldn't stop myself from sharing it with you guys.
Spider-Man Adventures is like hot milk with maybe a sip of honey added to it. Nice, warm and comfortable and good for your throat when you've had too much crap to deal with.
Ultimate Spider-Man is like hot chocolate de luxe, nice warm and sweet, with a hint of dark chocolate in it It's good and lovely and reminds you of home, but it isn't coffee
Amazing Spider-Man pre-OMD is like a hot java blend, carefully made according to recipe and homebrewed, rich with texture and history, occasionally leaning towards Moira mc Taggarts homebrew like Sins Past, but unique and special.
I wish I wasn't so worried that post OMD it's going to revert to industrial brand instant coffee that's lost all flavor, especially when all Spidey's character development dissappears into nothingness along with the marriage.
I think I'm going to get something to drink now.
And since I had some time to think...
Spider-Man Loves MJ is like... hot toffee, sugary and sweet and it clings to your mouth. Especially good in small portions, but oddly addictive.
Whereas New Avengers is like ... Irish coffee. It barely has enough coffee in it to count as coffee, but it gets you off your feet and makes you see hopping bunnies (or Skrulls).
