Doctor Who: Love and Monsters

Hmmmm

I don't know, this is the first ep of the second season that I really didn't like. In fact, I found it rather boring. I know it was daring with the format, that they were trying something 'different' but it just didn't work for me.

I just couldn't get myself to really care about any of the characters.

I think it's a bit like Storyteller in s7 of Buffy. A lot of people love it, and Andrew in it. But I always found it a rather boring ep that spent way too much time trying so desperately to be funny that it made me cringe.

Same here. I'd started up my cousin's laptop before we were even ten minutes in, I was zapping away before it hit 20. I just have a problem with certain kinds of humor and this just didn't work for me.

don't think it was just you, as I was struggling as well ... I missed the first half, but spent a lot of the rest cringing, to the level that I don't know if I want to watch the replay, or pretend it doesn't exist.

I think my main issue were the actors, but the plot and some of the lines were hideous ... love live with a face in a paving slab - so not neccesary *shudders*
